Membership Dues
Learn To Fence! - $40/person
Learn to Fence! covers the basics of fencing and serves as an introduction to the sport. It runs once a week for four weeks. All equipment is
included. After completing Learn to Fence! individuals may become Regular Members by paying the USFA Membership fee ($60) (not required for
students 12 years of age or under), purchasing an underarm protector ($20) and paying their first month's dues.
Regular Member - $30/month
The regular membership includes the first Olympic weapon and access to all of the open fencing times. All regular
members may use the club's dry fencing gear (mask, jacket, glove, foil) but should provide their own underarm protector.
Multi-weapon Member - $40/month
The same as the regular membership, but includes as many Olympic weapon classes as you want. You can fence two or all three.
Sparring-only Member - $20/month
This membership gives you access to the club's dry fencing equipment and all open fencing times. It does not include any weapon classes.
Add-Ons
- Classical Fencing +$30 (by invitation)
- Private Lessons +$10 (w/Noah, any Olympic weapon)
12 for the price of 10
If you pay for a year's dues in advance, we will give you two months free. Simply multiply your normal rate by 10.
So, a Regular Member would pay $300 rather than $360 for the year. The year will start the same month as the payment
unless other arrangements are made.
Families take 20% off!
We like it when families fence together. Families take 20 percent off their total dues.
Examples:
- Three people in your family pay the Regular Member dues. To apply the discount, you would take $30 X 3 = $90; $90 X .20 = $18; $90 - $18
= $72. The family would pay $72/month instead of $90/month.
- The same three-person family is fencing, but two have decided to do more than one weapon. Add up all of the regular dues: $30 + $40 +
$40 = $110. 20 percent of $110 is $22. So, the family pays $88 instead.
- Now, let's say that family wants to pay its dues a year in advance. Multiplying their $88/month by 10, we get $880 for the year.
Other Fees
- USFA Membership - $60/year
All members of Coeur d'Escrime 13 years old and over are expected to maintain their USFA membership. Membership includes a subscription
to American Fencing, an excellent quarterly magazine on the sport, discounts on fencing gear, and inclusion in the USFA's accident insurance
policy. Discounted rates are available for 3-year and family memberships.
- Drop-in (one evening for non-member) - $5
