Welcome!

An elegant sport for a more civilized age . . .

Fencing is a graceful, tactical, disciplined and chivalric sport based on European martial forms of the 17th through 19th centuries.

While most people are first drawn to fencing because of the swords, they soon find that fencing caters to not only a quick blade, but an agile mind, as well. Fencing is a lifetime sport drawing on the individual's athletic prowess and mental fortitude in equal degrees.

Fencing is for you if you want:

  • to play with swords
  • a sport that rewards your natural athleticism, balance, explosiveness, agility and grace
  • a sport that rewards tactical thinking and mental acuity as much as athleticism
  • something different from traditional team sports
  • to explore the history and culture of European swordplay
  • an alternative sport for homeschooling
  • to learn self-discipline and self-control while enjoying safe, exhilirating personal combat in an atmosphere of good sportsmanship and camaraderie
  • a great full-body workout!
